Is this your first pregnancy? The reason I ask is because with my 3rd pregnancy my contractions never got 5 mins apart they were like 10-15 minutes apart. When I made it to the hospital I was 9 cms and pushing within the hour. If this is your first child then I would wait until the intensity increases a bit or you have 5 or more contractions in an hour.|||they usually say to go in when they are 5minutes apart|||I think the standard is around 5 min apart or your water breaks.|||It depends on if this is your first baby or not, how far away the hospital is, how severe the pain is. If you can handle it, this is your first baby and you live less than 20min away from your hospital, you could wait until they are 5min apart. However, if this is your second, third, etc., then you should probably go ahead and go. Same goes for being in severe pain and if the hospital is quite a drive. Best of luck! God bless!|||Here in Australia they recommend you contact the hospital when labour starts to let them know you'll be coming in but not to actually go in until 5 mins.
Good luck!!|||if they are 10 or less mins apart for 2 hours or if they are 5 or less mins apart for 1 hr or your water breaks.|||you should call him now just to let him know whats going on .good luck|||It depends, how far are you from the hospital? You wanna make sure you have plenty of time to get there. Go ahead and call your OB and just see what they say.|||I went from a measly 4 centimeters to full blown 10 centimeters in less than 30 minutes. Don't wait. I'd go ahead and call the Dr.
