What is the net ionic equation of MnS(s) + 2HBr(aq) --%26gt; MnBr2(aq) + H2S(g) ? I thought it was MnS(s) + 2H^-(aq) + Br2^-(aq) --%26gt; Mn^2+(aq) + Br2^-(aq) + H2S(g) but apparently it's wrong...|||Net ionic shows only the species that actually take part in the reaction so here:
MnS(s) + 2 H^+(aq) ---%26gt; Mn^2+(aq) + H2S(g)
What you wrote is called a full ionic equation.
